About this place
The Barrier Island Center is an environmental education facility located within the Archie Carr National Wildlife Refuge in Melbourne Beach. Exhibits cover sea turtle nesting, dune ecology, and barrier island habitats. Boardwalks lead from the center across the dunes to the Atlantic shoreline.
